From accumulated impact to a space renewed every day
Sabeen is not just a number. It represents a long journey of work in culture and public life — a time where experiences accumulate and stories intersect, becoming a name that looks toward the future rather than a personal biography.
From this shared, intangible legacy, the forum was born as a living space for cultural and intellectual exchange — free from rigid frameworks and ready-made formulas.
Art. Dialogue. Encounter.
A name shaped by time — and driven by ambition
We chose the name because it reflects the idea of accumulation: what we build today continues the work of many who came before us — some beyond seventy, many others who helped pave the way.
But our story doesn’t belong only to the past.
It lives in the passion that makes weekly gatherings possible, and in the courage to try something new at any age.
Here, there are no age limits: women singing in the choir alongside younger voices; friends discovering painting or photography for the first time; others returning to an old passion they once set aside.

Our Vision
To see Sidon as a city that breathes art — where cultural initiatives are shaped by people themselves; a space that opens doors, and knowledge that grows wide enough for everyone.
Our Ambition

Workshops, clubs, and live experiences that give people the tools to participate and create, not just observe.

A space where experienced voices stand alongside first beginnings — where the value of each contribution lies in its meaning, not in the age of its contributor.

We learn through practice, constructive feedback, and collective work — not through theory alone.

From choir and dabke to reading, cinema, and trips — a cultural scene alive in neighborhoods, not confined to screens.

We keep the space safe and respectful. In matters of mental health, we limit ourselves to public talks and awareness sessions, while honoring privacy and clear boundaries of support.

Our Everyday Values

Sidon… Our Shared Home
A city of sea, heritage, and stories.
In its neighborhoods, generations and roles meet; in its streets, we create our gatherings — choir and dabke in the evenings, readings, talks, and exhibitions through the seasons, and trips that remind us that Lebanon itself is an open stage for learning and discovery.
We begin in Sidon and remain rooted in it — welcoming everyone who chooses to walk this path with us.
The Spirit of the Place
A warm space for reading from our diverse library, sharing a cup of coffee, having a quiet conversation, or getting work done on your laptop to the sound of soft music.
By morning, the space opens to calm and individual work; by evening, the clubs come alive with activity.
The Team & the Community
The forum is led by a small team of coordinators and founders — but its true heart is the community: the presence, the ideas, and the participation.
Anyone who brings an idea, sings at a rehearsal, or gives their time is part of the team.
An Open Invitation
If you’re curious to try something new — to sing, to draw, to discuss a book, or to propose a talk — you’re in the right place.
Come add a new line to the story of the city, and help create an energy that restores culture to its everyday meaning.
