Montada Sabeen Joins the “One Million Books Campaign” to Help Preserve Lebanon’s Cultural Memory
Montada Sabeen took part in the launch session of the “One Million Books Campaign,” held at the Press Syndicate, reaffirming its commitment to the initiative, which it helped establish, and its goal of protecting libraries and archives and preserving Lebanon’s cultural heritage.
As part of its efforts to turn the campaign’s objectives into concrete action, Montada Sabeen announced its readiness to contribute to receiving, sorting, organizing, and cataloguing books and documents, and to handing them over in accordance with the established procedures and guidelines. The forum will also mobilize its available human resources to support this voluntary effort, believing that community participation is essential to safeguarding knowledge and preserving cultural memory.
This commitment stems from the conviction that protecting cultural heritage goes beyond collecting books and documents. It requires collective action to ensure their preservation and accessibility, so that they remain a living part of Lebanon’s memory and future.
