A Poetry Evening Alive with Presence and Creativity at Sabeen Forum
Sabeen Forum hosted a distinguished poetry evening that brought together a vibrant gathering of friends and lovers of poetry and the written word, in a warm and engaging atmosphere.
The evening opened with welcoming remarks by the Forum’s president, Mr. Walid Al-Assi, who highlighted the importance of such cultural gatherings and their role in fostering dialogue and creativity.
This was followed by an introductory speech by Ms. Maysoun Zahra, who shed light on the poetic journey and literary path of poet Anwar Al-Khatib. The event was then gracefully moderated by writer Wafaa Assi, who guided the evening’s program with cultural insight and poise.
Poets then took the stage in succession, with enthusiastic engagement from the audience. The readings began with poet Mohammad Kroum, and the evening concluded with poet Anwar Al-Khatib, whose final selections were met with warm applause and appreciation.
